John and Roberta Lashare
When Abba brought us together in marriage in 1988, He reminded us that, “One can put a thousand to flight but two can put ten thousand to flight.” We started our journey in Conway, South Carolina by being houseparents of a maternity home whose objective was to save babies from abortion.
Our covenant walk has also led us to become houseparents of another maternity home in Tompson, Georgia. Along the way, at least one of us has served as Director of Crisis Pregnancy Centers in both Greenwood, South Carolina and Jonesboro, Arkansas, while the other “held the fort” as breadwinner. Roberta’s trip to Israel was life changing. She also traveled to Nicaragua as a medical missionary with Volunteers in Medical Missions, (VIMM, Seneca, SC) in1998 and 1999.
On July 16, 2009 we crossed over to the Messianic covenant of God’s Word. We were active in Messianic congregations in both Paragould and Pocahontas, Arkansas. It was while we were visiting John’s hometown of Conway, South Carolina that we first attended Melech Ha Olam in 2016. Immediately, we felt the Love of the Lord and knew we would become a permanent part of the congregation when we moved back home, in Abba’s timing. In 2019 Abba opened the door for us to return to South Carolina and join the Melech Ha Olam congregation.
We were blessed to be commissioned as Shammashim on March 5, 2022. We look forward to continuing our walk in His calling for our lives. |
